Giant Things

These giant sculptures were created in 2007- 8 for the Museum of Fine Art Parade in St. Petersburg, FL.  Last I heard the Giraffe went to Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa, FL.  And the stilt legged Balloon Elephant was stored in a box somewhere at the Dalí Museum.

Gradiva with Bleeding Roses after Dali sketch

I reworked the hair before it hung in Gallery Live in Ybor City, Tampa FL. We were preparing for an Art Parade in this photo. I created the Giraffe too and the upside down Shoe Hat that Museum Docent, Janice Embrey-Brown is wearing.

Jane's Legs

The legs were an inspiration I had in 2015 and a collage collaboration with artist Betsy Rosado.

Jane's daughter Hunter like the legs so much that she shipped them to Budapest. Jane Roberts is remembered for her pearls and the fact that she never let the grass grow under her feet.

The repeated image of Gradiva with the bleeding roses appears in the early 1930's as a reflection of Dali's concern for his wife Gala's impending surgery. The Black and white sketch above is owned by the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL. and is occasionally on display. I produced this life size image in homage to Dali's work. It has a working clock embedded in her head.

Lady with Umbrella Skirt 2016

Was challenged to see if I could pull this off. When one disassembles an umbrella the resistance is no longer effective. I wanted to create the look without drilling into the mannequin body. I had to think about that for a while.
